What is this Sass/SCSS in Web Design anyway?
Sass is a preprocessor that will produce clean and efficient CSS code and will cut your development time to half (if not more). According to official docs,
Sass is the most mature, stable, and powerful professional grade CSS extension language in the world. Sass is completely compatible with all versions of CSS. We take this compatibility seriously so that you can seamlessly use any available CSS libraries.
Advanced Sass & Workflow!
Foundation has great support for Sass functions and mixins. In fact, you can semantically build your own grid system too, and in both directions Horizontal or Vertical. As these features are awesome, these can’t be neglected in any mean and should be used in your next awesome website.
Unfortunately, though Bootstrap also uses Sass for generating the CSS for their framework but as of yet Bootstrap doesn’t have these features, and thus the comparison isn’t valid. If in case, Bootstrap will provide these features in upcoming future, I will surely update this article! … cc @Johann S
